Reaching other people for Christ is part of the mission of Del Norte
Baptist Church and we have several groups dedicated to this idea in our church. |
Women on MissionWomen on Mission is our mission’s organization for adult women. It is a place where they can find realistic, practical, flexible, multiple and fun ways to influence the world for Christ. The missions education that is provided can help women understand biblical missions concepts and gives them a means of bringing these concepts to life through personal involvement. They focus on some aspect of missions: missions awareness, ministry, witnessing, praying and/or missions-focused Bible study. This group of ladies meets the third Tuesday of each month at 2pm at the church. To learn more about ministry opportunities for adults click here. Youth in ActionYouth in Action (YIA) is our missions organization for guys in grades 7-12. They meet on Sundays from 4-5 and they spend time not only learning about missions, but learning what its like to do missions themselves. They spend time learning about missionaries in other cultures as well missionaries in our own country, and of course they have some good guy oriented fun as well. They strive to truly understand what it means to reach every tribe, tongue and nation for Christ. To learn more about ministry opportunities for youth click here. ActeensActeens is our missions organization for girls in grades 7-12. They sample parts of other cultures such as food and dress, as they learn about the missionaries that work around the world. Acteens strive to truly understand what it means to go to every tribe, tongue, and nation with the good news of Christ. To learn more about ministry opportunities for youth click here. Girls in Action (GA's)Girls in Action or GA’s is a place where girls in 1st-6th grade can develop a mission’s lifestyle in an all-girl setting. The girls can develop global awareness and begin to see the world through God’s eyes and recognize that God loves all people. Girls actively study and participate in missions and begin to see the world beyond their own community. They learn they have a responsibility and a calling to share Christ’s message with everyone. They learn of their responsibility to share Jesus message with everyone. To learn more about ministry opportunities involving children click here. Mission FriendsMission Friends is the first experience that preschoolers will have with missions organizations. It is for 4 and 5 year olds and introduces them to the concept of missionaries. New Mexico BuildersInfo coming soon ESLESL stands for English as a Second Language and there is a great need in New Mexico for people to learn to speak, read and write English. The primary goal of church-based literacy ministries like ours is to intentionally share and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ as we help people learn to speak English.
