At Del Norte Baptist Church we fully believe that God intends for us to have full, rich lives and that includes having some fun and fellowship with other believers. And while you will find that our Sunday School classes and other groups do plenty of fellowshipping, we also have some activities specifically intended just to have some fun.

Del Norte Quilters

All aspects of quilting are taught by two experienced quilters. Sewing machines hum on the second and fourth Thursday afternoons of each month as members learn many techniques to make personal quilts and “Gift Quilts”. This activity provides participants the opportunity to learn new skills and is an effective outreach ministry. Members of the group not only include church members but non-members and unchurched people, as well.

The Del Norte Quilters meet at Del Norte Baptist Church the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. New members are always welcome. For more information please contact Barbara at 298-7080.

Craft Gettogether

Members of this ministry include all ages. The participants meet twice a month to learn to make craft items. Members share their ideas with the group and enjoy snacks and fellowship. New projects we will learn include finger pincushions, macrame plant hangers, ribbon embroidery, Christmas light ornament, toole painting and pillowcases.

The Craft Gettogether meets at Del Norte Baptist Church the first and third Friday mornings of every month from 9:30am until 11:30. Contact Barbara at 298-7080 for more information.

Sundays @ the Park

On Sunday nights during the summer our youth like to get out of the building and just spend some time together. That’s what Sundays at the Park are all about. We head over to Montgomery Park on Comanche and basically just play. Most of the time we try and get in a few games of ultimate frisbee, but occasionally we mix it up with some kickball or volleyball. It’s simply a time of hanging out and having some fun. SAM Game Days & Nights

SAM stands for Senior Adult Ministry, and while the ministry is geared toward seniors, everyone is welcome at game days and game nights. The game days occur on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the conference center @ 10:00am. We enjoy a fun time of playing games like Mexican Train and also have lunch together. Our game nights happen once a quarter on Friday nights. We meet at the conference center at 6:00pm and enjoy dinner and a fun time of playing games with each other. YAM Game & Movie Nights

YAM stands for Young Adult Ministry. This group gets together periodically for a fun night of fellowship, food, and fierce competition. Ok, so the competition isn't always fierce, but we do have a whole lot of fun. We also have movie nights from time to time where we simply get together and enjoy watching a movie together.
