King's Kids Choir

Welcome to the Chidlren's Ministry at Del Norte Baptist Church.
A warm and caring environment is provided for children to help them learn about love and trust. Boys and girls are guided through learning experiences with Bible study, songs and games,
all with the purpose of leading them to know Christ's love for them.

In developing our ministry we have four basic assumptions:

The Bible is our textbook
The child is the learner
The teacher is the guide
The parents are the primary teachers

We believe you will find a varied program of activities for your child at Del Norte

Sunday School

Sunday School meets from 9:45-10:45 on Sunday mornings. Each Sunday the Bible study will focus on one or more of the following general subject ideas: God, Jesus, the Bible, Church, Self, Creation, Family, Community and the World. It is designed to provide Bible study that is foundational to spiritual awareness and growth. Lessons are age appropriate. To see more info about all of our Bible study opportunities click here.

SonShine Music Makers

SonShine Music Makers is our children’s choir for grades 1-3. Through various fun activities the fundamentals of music are taught. Throughout the year this choir will present songs that they have worked on in our Sunday morning worship services, as well as special performances around Christmas and at the end of school year. King's Kids Choir

King’s Kids Choir is our children’s choir for grades 4-6. At least one musical is usually presented each year by this group, as well as specials in worship services throughout the year. The fundamentals of music are taught and children discover that their various talents can be used to praise the Lord. To see all of our music programs click here.

TeamKid

TeamKid is our mid week activity for children, which happens on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00. It is for children in the 1st-6th grade. TeamKid deals with the daily struggles, questions and pressures felt by our children. The practical, biblical answers they find are not couched in some stuffy lecture, but in fun, interactive sessions. The hour and a half seems to zip by. It is a great blend of discipleship and activity that is great for both long-time church kids and those who are just starting to come. Lessons learned in TeamKid will last a lifetime and have the potential to change those young lives for an eternity. To see all of our discipleship opportunities click here.

Bible Drill

Bible Drill is offered for children in grades 4-6. Children learn the books of the Bible, key passages and memorize verses. It can really help children to increase their knowledge of the Bible and then apply it to their everyday life. They are able to compete in the Church, Associational and State Bible Drills. VBS

Vacation Bible School for 2008 is "Outrigger Island: Living God's Unshakeable Truth". With the crashing waves of modern-day media, the unpredictable seas of daily family life, and the troubled waters of simply growing up, it is no wonder kids' belief systems can capsize before they even get started. We cannot change the world in which kids are growing up, but we can equip kids to navigate that world with the stabilizing truths that God is real, Jesus is His Son, Jesus is the only way to receive salvation, the Bible is God's Word, and, ultimately, their actions show what they truly believe.
Each Day the children will be challenged to apply the daily Life Truth through Bible stories and verses, music, recreation, crafts, missions, and developing friendships with teachers and their peers. VBS will be held June 23-27, from 9am to noon. All children that have finished kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome. If you have any questions contact the church office. GA's

Girls in Action or GA’s is a place where girls in 1st-6th grade can develop a mission’s lifestyle in an all-girl setting. The girls can develop global awareness and begin to see the world through God’s eyes and recognize that God loves all people. Girls actively study and participate in missions and begin to see the world beyond their own community. They learn they have a responsibility and a calling to share Christ’s message with everyone. CIA

Children in Action – C.I.A. - teaches missions to boys in 1st-6th grade. Activities are geared for boys, but aim to teach leadership skills and an awareness of the world through God’s eyes. There are activities that help the boys learn about missions around the world. They learn of their responsibility to share Jesus message with everyone. Children's Church

Sunday mornings during the 11:00 contemporary service we offer Children’s church for those children who are in Kindergarten through the 2nd grade. Children come to the worship service and are then dismissed to Children’s church about half way through. This allows them to be a part of the worship time with the rest of the church, but instead of listening to a sermon geared for their parents, they go and get a lesson of their own, and have a some fun as well.
