Wednesday Prayer & Bible Study

Bible Drill

The word of God is a key to the life of a Christian,
and at Del Norte we encourage all of our members to be involved in a Bible Study

Sunday School

Here at Del Norte Baptist we think it is essential to the life of a Christian to be actively involved in a small group Bible Study. Our primary way of accomplishing this task is Sunday School and we offer a variety of classes. All the way from babies up to Senior Adults. There is a class for everyone. Preschool & Children’s classes. A youth department that splits into two classes. A college age class. A couple of singles’ classes. A men’s and a ladies’ class for all ages, and then several co-ed classes that are age-based. We are always open to new classes, not only those comprised of a different group than the ones listed here, but also classes that might meet at a different time. Our current Sunday School classes are on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45.

Wednesday Prayer & Bible Study

The search for new truths is a never ending quest. Following a warm and open time of prayer each Wednesday night, we explore God's Word, the Bible, as a prelude to new spiritual dynamics in Christian living. During the prayer time we share prayer requests, pray for those requests, and thank God for the privilege of prayer. It is also a time of fellowship and laughter. You are invited to be a part of the Wednesday Prayer Meeting - every Wednesday night @ 6:30.

Bible Drill

Our Bible Drill program meets from 5:30 to 6:30 on Wednesdays. It involves a couple of different activities for students in the 4th grade all the way up to seniors in high school. The actual Bible Drill is for students in 4th through 9th grade and is divided into children’s (4th-6th grade) and youth (7th-9th grade). Students learn the books of the Bible, key passages and memorize scripture. Both the children’s and youth drill help students to learn more about the Bible and consequently grow in their faith. Students in grades 10-12 can be a part of the Youth Speakers. These students prepare a speech which they take to the competition. This is an excellent way for students to learn to verbalize what they believe and look at why they believe it as they research and study for their speech. All of these groups compete in the church, associational and state Bible drills, but competition is not the ultimate goal.
